LECTURE AT RYERSON VARSITY

renowned, recognized and respected Pakistani scientist and scholar Dr Muhammad
Iqbal Chaudhary made the Pakistani community proud by visiting Canada.
He is young, dynamic,
extra-ordinary genius and brilliant. He has more than 800 research publications
including 32 books published and 24 patents. He has been awarded. In 2015 he
was recognised as the second most productive scientist in Pakistan.
Scientist and scholar
like Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry are born rare in a century.He has God-gifted
abilities and qualities. God has blessed Pakistan. He is serving the whole world
with his rich experience and tremendous contributions. My platform SHIR—Serve Humanity
in Reality, whose member is also Syed Muhammad Iqbal, President of Pak Senior
Forum (PSF) are working to serve seniors and humanity. SHIR’s motto is: Serve

Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary delivered a
lecture on ‘Science and technology in Pakistan and the Islamic world:
Strategies for international cooperation’. The lecture was organized by the
Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto, Canada, on August 2, 2017. It was
held at the Ryerson University, Sears Auditorium, George Vari Engineering and
Computing Centre. The Sears Auditorium was full with most young people,
students and distinguished guests including world renowned Canadian journalist
Haroon Siddiqui. The dignitaries included Shahid Hashmi, Chairman, Canpak
Chamber of Commerce.
Born
on September 11, 1959, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary is currently Director of
International Centre for chemical and biological sciences in Karachi University,
Pakistan. He is a scientist and scholar in the field of bio-organic and
structural organic chemistry.
Dr Iqbal completed his
higher education from Karachi. He graduated with BSc with major subjects of chemistry,
biochemistry and botany from Karachi University. He later pursued his MSc in organic chemistry and
then got his PhD. in organic chemistry from H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry located
at Karachi University with thesis titled as "The Isolation and Structural
Studies on some medicinal plants of Pakistan,
Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary has been serving as
visiting professor for the following universities: Universiti Malaysia Pahang
and University of Rhode Island, National University of Malaysia, King Abdulaziz
University and King Saud University.
Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary has been working as
permanent faculty with the following institutions: Professor at H.E.J. Research
Institute of Chemistry, Professor Emeritus at University of Karachi and Director,
International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences.
Dr Iqbal’s contributions in the field of organic
chemistry made him the recipient of civilian awards of different countries
nationally and internationally which are as follows:Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in (1999), Sitara-e-Imtiaz
in (2001), Distinguished National Professor of HEC in 2004.
Hilal-e-Imtiaz in (2007), COMSTECH Award in
Chemistry in 2010[1.TWAS Award in 1994,Khwarizmi International Award in 2006
and Economic Cooperation Organization Award in 2006.
Dr Iqbal has Fellow
of Fulbright Program, Fellow of Islamic World Academy of Sciences, Fellow of
Chemical Society of Pakistan and Fellow of World Innovation Foundation
