            TORONTO: What makes Canada beautiful, wonderful and one of the best countries in the world?  Yes, it is the good, loving and caring Canadians and tremendous contributions of members of all communities in Canada. They like and love to live and work together and help, support and respect each other.
            We have the potential and can definitely make Canada `The Greatest & Best Country On The Earth’ by equally, properly and truly recognizing the best, most talented, genius and brilliant people and prodigies coming from all over the world to become a precious asset and an important part of Canada.
            They must be properly recognized, supported, promoted and utilized. If wasted by any ways, it would be very unfortunate and tremendous loss to Canada and again as I always say that Canada and the people just cannot afford it. The rulers, policymakers, leaders and all those who matter must understand this.
            LEADERS ROLE: All prominent community leaders and members of any community can and must come forward and play their important role in this connection to build bridges and to support and promote the deserving community members. It is their duty and responsibility in the best interest of the community, people and Canada.
            The Pakistani and Indian communities of South Asian community have a very large number of God-gifted, most talented, genius and brilliant people and prodigies. They are big people and big names with tremendous contributions and remarkable achievements. All they need is proper recognition, opportunities, support and promotion to play their roles and contribute tremendously. Prominent personalities like Shahid Hashmi, Chairman, Canpak Chamber of Commerce, Syed Muhammad Iqbal, President, Pak Seniors Forum (PSF), Hameeduddin Ahmed, Hashim Hyder, Afzal Khan Nayyar, Tahir Hussain, Masoodul Haq and a long list of such people remain very active in supporting, promoting, educating and guiding the community.
            MEHDI SALAHUDDIN: One such great personality with extraordinary God-gifted singing talent is Muhammad Salahuddin. He is a Canadian of Pakistani origin and has an amazing and stunning voice resemblance of late Mehdi Hassan of Pakistan, who is one of the greatest Ghazal/Geet singers of this century in the world.
            Muhammad Salahuddin rightly deserves the coveted title of `Mehdi Hassan of Canada’ and support by the Canadian Heritage/Canada Arts Presentation Fund and related private and government bodies/groups. He has to his credit best performances in Pakistan and Canada and has earned both international recognition and popularity.
            When he performs, he mesmerises the music-lovers in the audience of any size. Such is the magical effect of the beautiful voice of this charismatic person. He is a pride of the Pakistani community and is making the people of both Canada and Pakistan extremely proud.  
            Muhammad Salahuddin is promoting himself as Mehdi Salahuddin. He is a hot cake now and in great demand, in both private and commercial circles, in the South Asian community, particularly the Indian and Pakistani communities, whose members not only like but are in deep love with the late Mehdi Hassan. They miss him very much but now Mehdi Salahuddin is here to keep reminding us of the great singer. His beautiful voice and performances does not allow us to forget the late Mehdi Hassan. It is a great tribute to him.

            ABOUT MEHDI SALAHUDDIN: Mehdi Salahuddin or Muhammad Salahuddin is from Karachi, Pakistan, and lives in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He is a great fan of the legendary Ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan and has reinvented himself to fulfill his dream of reproducing golden songs of the king of Ghazals.
            He started his singing carrier as a Ghazal/Geet singer from Radio Pakistan, Karachi, in 1978. He has also performed in Karachi Club, National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), radio & TV channels including Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television (PTV), STN, TV ONE and HUM.  Mehdi Salahuddin, who is now internationally recognized, had also performed on the stage, apart from executing his performances at the school and college levels.   
            Mehdi Salahuddin launched Reborn – his first professional audio music album – in January, 2009, in Toronto. From Rafta Rafta Wo to Pyar Bharay Do Sharmelay and Jaan-e-Jaan Tu Jo to Teri Mehfil Se Ye. The music album Reborn consists of 15 all-time golden hits of Mehdi Hassan.             VIDEO ALBUM:  Now he has launched in Canada on October 2, 2015, his new Video Album consisting of evergreen Ghazals/Geets of Mehdi Hassan. The title is "ITS MEHDI HASSAN ONCE MORE". Babulal Bhagat, a distinguished personality and an internationally renowned classical singer and music teacher, launched the video album and presented it to Mehdi Salahuddin. He spoke highly of the God-gifted talent of Mehdi Salahuddin and praised his mesmerizing performance and remarkable voice resemblance. He said that Mehdi Salahuddin deserved great respect and recognition because of his singing qualities.  
           Ashfaq Hussain, internationally renowned poet and a distinguished personality of the Pakistani and South Asian communities, who was chief guest on the occasion, was also present along with Babulal Bhagat on the stage during the video album launching and fully endorsed the views and praises of Babulal Bhagat about Mehdi Salahuddin.  Ashfaq Hussain enjoyed very much and was so impressed by Mehdi Salahuddin's performance that he stood up in great joy to praise him. That was indeed a great tribute and recognition for Mehdi Salahuddin.    
           Over 200 music lovers and fans of Mehdi Hassan attended the appreciation dinner and Mehdi Salahuddin’s video album launching in Milton Senior Activity Centre in Milton city on October 2, 2015, and fully enjoyed his performance. 
           The video album launching was supported, organized and presented by renowned distinguished community personality Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui of Best Entertainment. Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui is known for actively supporting and promoting the community members and organizing social and cultural events.
            Jibran Hashmi, a very popular and recognized professional singer of the Pakistani community, organized the sound & music arrangement, which was highly appreciated.
               Ruhi Samina’s book launching was also held on the occasion. Ashfaq Hussain launched Ruhi's book. Tribute was paid to late Mehdi Hassan and late Noor Jahan, the two great personalities of the music world.
            Before working on the audio album, Mehdi Salahuddin contacted Mehdi Hassan to seek his permission. Later, on Mehdi Hassan’s special invitation he visited the residence of the king of Ghazals in Karachi, who became very happy, appreciated his efforts and not only gave him permission but prayed for his success and gave him some useful tips and guidance.
            Mehdi Salahuddin’s Reborn was composed and directed by Pakistan’s internationally recognized and renowned music director Mehboob Ashraf in Karachi and presented by Artists and Writers Guild Ontario. Mehdi Salahuddin remembers and respects Mehboob Ashraf and the Guild for their tremendous support.
